KIHEI AKINA
Alpine, Utah, 19
Kihei Akina graduated from Lone Peak High School this spring as the first golfer in Utah history to win three 6A individual state titles, claiming championships as a freshman, sophomore, and junior. He committed to play for BYU, joining his older brother, Keanu. At just 18 years old, Akina made his Korn Ferry Tour debut at the 2024 Utah Championship, shooting -13 and finishing T49. He later made his PGA TOUR debut at the Black Desert Championship, where back-to-back rounds of 69 left him one stroke shy of the cut. Earlier this year, he was named to the 2025 U.S. National Junior Team. Akina is regarded as one of the top junior golfers in the country.
CONNOR HOWE

The Ogden native turned pro in 2023 after five years at Georgia Tech, where he helped lead the Yellow Jackets to a pair of ACC titles. This June, Howe recorded two strong results in the GPro Tour, finishing third in the Colonial Classic and T11 in the Woodlake Open – both in North Carolina. Last year, he thrilled the home crowd at the Utah Championship, making the cut and carding a bogey-free 64 on the final day to finish -15 and T36. At Weber High School, he won the individual state titles in 2016 and 2017, and shot a state-record low score of 62 at the 2015 championship.
