Partner Organizations
The Utah Championship provides more than just professional golf. It also endeavors to raise money for the golf tournament’s charitable partners and contribute to the PGA TOUR’s unprecedented success in giving back to local charities. The Utah Championship's charitable organizations include the Tony Finau Foundation, the Huntsman Cancer Institute, and the Boys and Girls Club of Weber-Davis (BGCWD).
Tony Finau Foundation
The Utah Championship is a proud partner with its alumni and PGA TOUR Professional, Tony Finau and his foundation. The Tony Finau Foundation is built on a family experience through the game of golf. It aims to empower and inspire youth and their families to discover, develop and achieve the best of their gifts and talents through the game of golf, educational funding and core family values.
“Through this partnership, we have been able to further my Foundation’s efforts to support youth education and recreation programs, as well as launch a development and mentorship initiative to assist promising young players from Utah in reaching their dream of playing on the PGA TOUR one day and representing our proud state on the world stage,” said Tony Finau.
The Tony Finau Foundation's goals include obtaining charitable funds to build an interactive learning facility, offering scholarships and establishing a state-of-the-art golf academy. This will foster and educate underprivileged children, along with their families, by discovering their gifts and talents on the way to reaching their overall potential.
The Tony Finau Foundation became one of the PGA Korn Ferry Tour's Utah Championship charity organizations in 2018 and is approaching close to $300,000 received from the tournament. For more information visit the Tony Finau Foundation online.
Huntsman Cancer Institute
Huntsman Cancer Institute is the region’s only NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and cancer specialty hospital. HCI’s sole purpose is to raise funds to support the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute and is dedicated to ensuring excellence in these endeavors through the development and prudent stewardship of private resources.
The Huntsman Cancer Foundation became one of the Utah Championship’s charity organizations in 2012 and has since received $350,000 from the tournament to aid in the fight against cancer.
Boys & Girls Club of Weber-Davis
The mission of the Boys and Girls Club of Weber-Davis (BGCWD) is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Each year, the PGA TOUR Wives Association (PTWA) hosts an event with the BGCWD. The youth members of the club and families of Korn Ferry Tour players enjoy an afternoon of activities. The PTWA donates $1,500 to the BGCWD in support of the futures of the members. Furthermore, the Utah Championship general admission ticket sales are also donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Weber-Davis.
