Meet 30 newest PGA TOUR members
FRENCH LICK, Indiana — The 2024 Korn Ferry Tour season concluded Sunday afternoon at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance, as 30 PGA TOUR cards were awarded in a ceremony at The Pete Dye Course at French Lick.
The top 30 players on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List earned PGA TOUR cards for the 2025 season, which begins in January.
Braden Thornberry birdied the 72nd hole for a final-round bogey-free 6-under 66 and a one-stroke victory at the season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance. Thornberry, who entered the week at No. 51 on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, was the only player outside the top 30 who moved into the final top 30. Thornberry’s victory bumped Sam Bennett out of the top 30, as Bennett began the week at No. 30 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List.
Matt McCarty, who became the first player since 2021 to earn the Three-Victory Promotion, clinched the No. 1 spot on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List two weeks ago at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship. By virtue of finishing atop the Korn Ferry Tour Points List, McCarty earns exemptions for the 2025 PLAYERS Championship and 2025 U.S. Open, in addition to being fully exempt for the 2025 PGA TOUR season.
