The path to the PGA TOUR runs through Ogden this summer
OGDEN, Utah — Tickets for the 2025 Utah Championship go on sale next Tuesday, June 24, as one of the Korn Ferry Tour’s most storied events opens an exciting new chapter at Ogden Golf & Country Club. The tournament, presented by Zions Bank and Intermountain Health and hosted by the Utah Sports Commission, will make its Ogden debut from July 31 – August 3.
“Bringing the Utah Championship to Ogden marks a new era for one of the Korn Ferry Tour’s longest-running events,” said Jeff Robbins, president and CEO of the Utah Sports Commission. “We’re extremely fortunate to have incredible sponsors and partners behind this event, and with Golf Channel coverage, the excitement will unfold on a national stage for golf fans everywhere to experience.”
Fans can purchase daily or weekly grounds passes, tickets to the Fan Deck at 13 Green, or VIP seating in the Intermountain Health Skybox at 18 Green beginning June 24 at UtahChampionship.com. Active and retired military receive free grounds admission with valid ID.
As part of the PGA TOUR’s unmatched charitable legacy, the Utah Championship connects fans, athletes, and partners in a meaningful way—offering more than just premier golf, but a community event with purpose. Since partnering with the Tony Finau Foundation in 2018, the tournament has contributed nearly $700,000 for Utah’s next generation of golfers.
“The Utah Sports Commission has been a great partner of our mentoring program, helping us support local golfers chasing their PGA TOUR dreams,” said Tony Finau. “We’re proud to follow the Utah Championship to Ogden Golf & Country Club this summer. Ogden is home to several of our program’s athletes—including Patrick Fishburn, Connor Howe, and Mitchell Schow—and it’s the perfect location to showcase Utah’s talent and the caliber of the Korn Ferry Tour.”
A staple on the Korn Ferry Tour—the official path to the PGA TOUR—the Utah Championship traces its roots back to the inaugural 1990 Ben Hogan Tour, when a young John Daly won the first edition of what was then known as the Utah Classic. Since then, the tournament has crowned an impressive list of champions including Masters champion Zach Johnson, three-time PGA TOUR winners Patton Kizzire and Cameron Champ, and 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Rookie of the Year Karl Vilips.
Now entering its 34th year, the Utah Championship will also launch a three-year extension with the Korn Ferry Tour, ensuring the tournament remains in The State of Sport through at least 2027.
2025 Korn Ferry Tour Season
A new format heightens the intensity for the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour. This season, only the top 20 players on the Point List will earn 2026 PGA TOUR cards, a shift from the top 30 cutoff in recent years. With just 26 events on the schedule, including the Utah Championship, the stakes have never been higher.
New Venue, Hometown Talent
With its move to Weber County, the Utah Championship reaches its northernmost location in tournament history. Founded in 1914, Ogden Golf & Country Club is Utah’s oldest club still at its original location. It has hosted numerous professional and amateur events, including the Utah Open, Utah State Amateur, Junior America’s Cup, and the 1963 LPGA Riverside Ladies Open.
The venue is part of a thriving local golf scene. Ogden, Utah, is home to a number of elite players including PGA TOUR pros Zac Blair and Patrick Fishburn and 2025 Tony Finau Foundation mentoring program recipients Connor Howe and Mitchell Schow.
“I’m excited to have the Utah Championship at Ogden Golf & Country Club—it’s a special place to me,” said Patrick Fishburn. “It’s where I learned the game and where I continue to play and practice when I’m home. It’s an old-school course that should provide a fun challenge for the players, and I’m looking forward to seeing it on the Golf Channel!”
