About the 2017 Utah Championship
Welcome to the 2017 Utah Championship at Oakridge Country Club. Entering the 26th year in its partnership with the PGA TOUR, as host organization for this annual Web.com Tour stop, the Utah Sports Commission is proud of the elevation the Web.com Tour and the Utah Championship has experienced over the past few years.
Oakridge Country Club in Farmington, Utah will host of the Utah Championship presented by Zions Bank, which will be contested the week of, with all four rounds broadcast live on Golf Channel.
In addition to the new venue, the Tour announced an increase in the tournament purse to $700,000, with the winner receiving $126,000. The $700,000 marks the second-largest purse offered during the Web.com Tour Regular Season.
“We have been fortunate to have had several of Utah's finest golf courses host the Utah Championship over the years, and look forward to having Oakridge Country Club host the 2017 event showcasing another great Utah community," said Jeff Robbins, president and CEO of the Utah Sports Commission.”
The Utah Championship, which celebrated its 25th playing in 2016, has produced a strong list of champions since the tournament debuted in 1990, including inaugural winner John Daly, Zach Johnson (2003) and 2015 Web.com Tour Player of the Year Patton Kizzire.
The tournament has had three host venues since 1990, including Riverside C.C., Willow Creek C.C. and the Golf Club at Thanksgiving Point, which hosted the event each of the last two years.
